🌿Pickleweed or American Glasswort.
🤓The name Glasswort is because the burned plant was high in soda ash and potash, which was used for making glass.
😋Pickleweed is edible, cooked or raw, though it’s very salty. Some people lump these in with ‘sea beans’ and others call it ‘sea asparagus’. Either way, it’s Salicornia (virginica and pacifica are both edible.)
