As the 𝙨𝙢𝙤𝙠𝙚 from the far off wildfires 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙, I wondered how all our fellow beings are doing.
𝘿𝙞𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚? It was very quiet here during the heaviest smoke. But where would they go? The whole West is filled with smoke.
Were they hunkered down in their nests and burrows and dens wondering what this eerie air is all about? 𝙒𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙖𝙛𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙙?
𝘿𝙞𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙤𝙤? How were they comforting and protecting their young?
Even our cats were subdued through the weekend, mostly sleeping near the air purifier with some 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙬𝙨 here and there. They knew something was wrong even though they were nearly as protected as we were. (I couldn’t give them my tinctures or tea.)
Yes. Most of these fires were started by lightning, but…there would not have been so many if we 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚.
